Kayla has been involved with softball for 30 years. Over the years, she has held many roles such as player, coach, and board and committee member. While playing, Kayla participated in many Canadian Championships winning 3 gold medals, 2 silver medals and received all star awards at these Championships. After high school graduation, Kayla played College Softball at Jamestown College and received Most Valuable Senior in her league during her senior year. Although she stopped playing competitively after College, her love of the game drove her to begin her coaching career. Kayla has had tremendous success helping her players to win 3 Softball Manitoba Provincial Championships and won Softball Manitoba's Coach of the Year Award in 2019. If all that wasn't enough, Kayla is the Lead Coach Developer for Softball Manitoba providing coach education through Softball Canada's Coach Certification Program. The love of the game is one of the main reasons Softball has been part of Kayla's life for such a long time and she looks forward to helping young females give back to the sport through coaching.
